Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad met today in the final of the 17th season of IPL. Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat at the M Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. However, losing 4 wickets within 7 overs, Hyderabad is under some pressure. The team managed to score only 47 runs in 7 overs.  Kolkata Knight Riders did not make any changes to their playing XI. However, Hyderabad made a change in their playing XI. Abdus Samad is in the playing XI instead of Shahbaz Khan.

Kolkata and Hyderabad met twice before the final in this year’s IPL. Once in the league stage, once in the number one qualifier. Kolkata won twice.

Kolkata have previously won the IPL title twice (2012 and 2014). Sunrisers Hyderabad won the IPL title in 2016.
